The Health and Human Resources Secretariat has a number of ongoing projects and programs aimed at improving the health and well being of all Virginians. Working with our family of agencies, and under the direction of Governor Kaine, we are moving forward with initiatives to foster better health for our children; address a host of healthcare issues; improve government operations in the health fields; and create a better, more secure future for Virginians across the state.
Specific initiatives the HHR Office is helping manage include:

The Healthy Virginians program works to promote healthy lifestyles in our workplaces, our schools and among families who receive health care through Medicaid.
